New Features of IRCTC Online Tickets Reservation

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has updated its official website for Railway Ticket Reservation few Time back. Many features have been updated and added for more smoothly and handy reservation of e-ticket through second generation website. Few of the features are as below:-

The user is now able to check the availability and waiting of Train Tickets without login into IRCTC account. The page can show all train list and availability as per the detail submitted for checking. In case you desire to book e-ticket, you obviously need to login into your IRCTC Account.

Now in case of Waiting Tickets or RAC, the user can also check the probability percentage for confirmation of the e-ticket. For which one has to login into the account. The prediction allows the user to opt the tickets or go for other options available. The user can check the probability by clicking on CNF Probability button below the Booking button.

New feature of IRCTC ticket reservation for confirm probability

The probability is decided by historical data available to the Railway Department. That doesn't mean it always remains true but one can take the idea from that.

The Updated IRCTC site also allowed the users to change the boarding point online only. Further for better visibility users can also able to change the font of the IRCTC website. New color theme for different trains also included for better understanding. One can also book a meal in train by book meal option.

The updated website of Indian Railway has also an option to seek help anytime by Digital Interaction. The option has namely Ask Disha on the right bottom corner of the IRCTC site for an assistant to any queries.

Earlier there are 6 transactions per month were allowed for booking e-ticket. But now after verifying the IRCTC account and Adhaar of one passenger, one can able to make 12 bookings per month. The user can also get complete upcoming or existing journey list details in the menu of My Transaction.

Updated IRCTC Site has also upgraded the feature of Vikalp Option. Under the scheme, the waitlisted passenger can get a booking in alternative train available. Updated website has a better presentation of the inquiry made by the user for train eticket or flight booking.

IRCTC has also introduced Book now and Pay later option for booking of e-ticket through IRCTC website. The advantage of this option is that one can able to complete the transaction even failure of gateway payment while making payments due to any reason.

One has 14 days time period for making payments of tickets. Failure of which attract penal interest on Amount. Now one can also able to cancel the counter ticket online by clicking cancel counter ticket under the section cancel ticket. However one can get the refund amount from Booking Counter.

Moreover, IRCTC has also the feature of getting live status of the running train on WhatsApp by sending train number on mobile 7349389104. After receiving the message it will reply within 10 seconds. One has to not rely on number 139.
