KUMBH MELA 2019

Kumbh Mela 2019 is held in Prayagraj (Formerly known as Allahabad) started on 14th Jan, 2019 and continue till around 48 days. Kumbh held at Triveni Sangam of River Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. It is the largest public gathering and collective act of faith in the world. Kumbh Mela is celebrated four times over a course of 12 years rotating in the holy places i.e. Haridwar, Nashik, Prayagraj and Ujjain. The pilgrims gather at the Kumbh to bath in the holy river. Saints, Naga Sadhus and Kalpvasis also gather to bath in the holy river. There are many ceremonies take place during the Kumbh Mela.

The myth of Kumbh connected to how Devas (God) and Danav (Demons) fought for Kumbh (Amrit Kalash) also called Ratna of Samudra Manthan. Lord Vishnu (as Mohini) grapes it from Danav and sent it to heavenward. During the course, few drops are fallen on Holy site which we knew as Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik and Prayagraj. During the Kumbh, Holy river is believed to turn into the Amrit and blessed purity and wash all sin after the holy dip.

Kumbh Mela, the largest gathering of the public in the world also create employment as a temporary source of income. The last Kumbh Carnival has 120 million footfall means people visited the Kumbh which is more than the population of many other countries. The spiritual festival also visited by foreign tourists.

The Huge gathering of the public is also a subject of study for many reputed international and national institutions. Many TV geographical channel such as BBC, National Geographic have made a documentary on Kumbh Carnival. Kumbh date & time period is decided on the position of Sun, Moon, and Jupiter as per the Zodiac of Hinduism astrology.

There are many attraction in the Kumbh 2019. The attraction includes Kalagram which provide a glimpse of India culture. Peshwai which denotes a grand procession carried out to symbolic the beginning of Mela by welcoming the people from all over the world. The Cultural event also organized on daily basis to attract tourist. Moreover, Laser light and sound show, thematic gate, 360-degree virtual tour, waterway joy ride are also a major attraction in the Kumbh 2019.

For the efficient run of carnival hosted by Prayagraj and to facilitate the visitors, there is 4200 premium tent are built near the Triveni Sangam. The tent City ha also common facilities for accommodation. Moreover, created accommodation with a capacity of 20000 beds.

More than 122000 toilets, 20000 Dustbin with liner bag and 15000 sanitation worker are all set for smoothly running of the carnival. Further, four convention Hall's are built for the organization of cultural events. To light up the Kumbh Carnival, 40,700 LED light we're setting up.
