Statue of Unity

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 'statue of unity' is open for tourist. The Statue is situated at near Sardar Sarovar Dam, Narmada Dist, Gujarat around 200 KMs from Ahemedabad & 155 KMs from Surat.

Foundation stone of the project was laid down by then chief minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi on 31st October, 2013, birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Inauguration of the statue was also on 31st October, 2018, 148th birth anniversary of Patel.

The Statue of Iron Man of India built by engineering Master L&T. The height of the Statue is around 182 meters which is twice the size of the Statue of Liberty, New York & will be world's biggest statue. The Statue would also have a museum which dedicated on Sardar Patel's life. Viewpoint on 500 feet will also provide scenic view of Sardar Sarovar Dam. High-speed lift will take people to viewpoint of Sardar Sarovar dam.

The destination also has laser light and sound show. The site will also have three-star hotel and tent house of nearly 225 tents for accommodation. The tourism also developing valley of the flower near statue to attract more and more tourist. The statue will be visible from 7 KMs radius. Lastly, the important fact is that Gujarat's total legislative assembly seats is 182 & heights of the statue is also 182 meters.

The viewing gallery at the height of 153 meters will accomend around 200 people for viewing Dam and nearby area. The Iron collected from "Loha" campaign was used in the foundation of the Statue. Under "Loha" campaign Iron was collected from the farmer, all over India.

Every evening the laser light show held on Statue of Unity. 51 laser projector are set around the tallest statue of the world for laser light show. The show is free of cost and held on 6:15 PM. Laser Light and sound show dedicated to life and work of Iron Man of India, Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
